Daniella is a dedicated speech-language pathologist, originating from Adelaide, South Australia, deeply committed to community well-being. Her academic journey includes a bachelor's degree in speech pathology from Flinders University and a postgraduate diploma in dementia from the University of Tasmania. Daniella specializes in adult acute rehabilitation, with a focus on Aboriginal health, palliative care, and aged care.
Having witnessed firsthand the pitfalls of unsustainable practices from western NGOs, short-term missions, and voluntourism, Daniella was drawn to TBB's mission of local sustainability and empowerment. Before joining TBB as the Director of Operations in 2022, Daniella volunteered with various organizations, including the Red Cross, International Justice Mission, Salvation Army x Rahab, and Friends of Refugees. Her roles ranged from spokesperson for trafficking prevention campaigns to assisting refugees and vulnerable migrants with employment and education access.
While working remotely, Daniella takes the opportunity to slow-travel with her family. In her downtime, you'll find her at the beach with her husband and children or exploring cafes in search of the perfect cup of coffee.
